When you have a wet hike, you spend part of the next morning dryng off, still-- note the hiking boots and other paraphenalia, trying to dry out-all but the hiking boots are now dry.So, we relaxed at our B&B for a good part of the morning:
We surely enjoyed relaxing in the sun, but finally packed everything up for our move on today to a hotel for one night before leaving Kauai. First stop today was Spouting Horn, where the surf goes under the rock and creates a spout of water:
We then briefly visited the Botanical Gardens -
Now time for snorkeling. We drove on to Po'ipu Beach, where there was excellent snorkeling, warm water, and a lovely sandy beach. Sorry, still no underwater photos of the beautiful fishes. There were 2 large sea turtles hanging around, and we watched them for some time- and even managed one decent photo. They were really amazing to observe- remarkably graceful considering their size and age:
The beach was pretty - and there were coves, and in the middle the waves met:-shore on one side and reef on the other:
Then onward to our hotel on the east coast of Kauai and a relaxing late afternoon there- walk on the beach, but forgot the camera, dinner, etc-- and now off to bed soon. Tomorrow morning we will spend here, hopefully swim/ snorkel some more- then we take a plane to the Big Islnad of Hawaii ! Love, Deb, Neal
Sounds like a much drier, more pleasant day. Love the big turtle! Good luck on your next adventure!
