Thursday, 4/14 AM

We have woken up to our 2nd day here- and will try to share a bit of our first day w/ you before we are off for the day.
We spent the AM walking on the beach ( but forgot camera) and them swimming in Hanalei Bay.It was beautiful and there were a number of surfers there. We decided not to try that, at least not yet.
After a brief nap, we set off for the afternoon:

Then we were off to hike on the Na Poli coast - and I only have time now to add a photo or two and will write more later:

 More later - we have to go off to meet birder to go on tour of pelagic birds off the Na Poli coast.

    Much better than being on call and coming home to do work late into the night, yes?

    You both look so relaxed. And the scenery reminds me why South Pacific was filmed there.

    Hope the birding adventure turned out well.
